Services
I offer individual therapy via in-person or telehealth, and I specialize in a mix of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), MI, SFBT, person-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, narrative therapy, art therapy, ADHD treatments (certification), and somatic interventions.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) reprocesses and reintegrates traumatic memories, relieving whole-system traumatic reactions and resolving negative beliefs about the self. I am EMDR-trained, and will be EMDR-certified by early 2026.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): helps us understand, befriend, and rescue parts of ourselves, including exiles, protectors, managers, and the true self.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): to increase skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): interventions to help accept difficult thoughts and feelings, and act based on values and goals.
Motivational Interviewing (MI): to enhance motivation and resolve ambivalence.
Person-Centered Therapy: we are the experts on their own lives. The therapist provides safety, flexibility, empathy, and unconditional positive regard.
Trauma-Informed Care: it asks, “what happened to you?” rather than, “what’s wrong with you?” It seeks to help us understand common sources of trauma, to minimize triggers within the therapeutic environment and approach, and it emphasizes empowerment and safety.
Trauma interventions (CCTP-II certification): top-down and bottom-up strategies for trauma treatment; understanding of how trauma is stored, how it impacts regulation of the nervous system.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): a collaborative, future-oriented therapy focused on identifying and utilizing a one’s existing strengths and resources to achieve goals.
Narrative Therapy: helps to view struggles as external, frames challenges within a larger sociocultural context, and teaches how to make room for other, more accurate stories.
